Best All-around PDA phone?

I'm looking to turn my two gadgets into one, by getting a PDA phone.
Does anyone have suggestions for the best all-around. By that I mean all things considered ... price, usability, battery life, etc. I use both my phone and PDA a lot every day, so it needs to be a good marriage of the two.

The one thing I am limited by is my loyalty to Verizon. I have had four different cell providers, and Verizon is hands down the best here in Metro-West Boston.

When and if Verizon sells the Treo 600, I'd recommend you buy it. I've looked at all the PDA/phones, and in my opinion it's the clear winner.

Hey Chris...funny to see you here!

I have been very happy with the ATT Wireless service I get in Worcester and surrounding area. I use the Palm Tungsten/W with the buitl in phone...the only thing is the ear piece needs to be upgraded out of the box..maybe we could have lunch and I could show it to you!

Whoa, Rob ... that is cool.

After a few days of looking around, I am leaning towards the Treo 600. Although I don't want to switch carriers, the price at Amazon.com ($250) is just too good to pass up based on the reviews that this Treo gets. I think it's just what I'm looking for. If Sprint doesn't work well, I still have 14 days to cancel without losing any money.

I'll let you know how it works out ...

I have been using the Treo 600 for a few days now, traveling and trying it in different ways and different areas, comparing it to my Verizon service as I go. So far, so good on the coverage and the service.

The actual phone itself is really amazing. Having these two units, cell and palm, is even more seemless and helpful than I anticipated, especially with the size and keyboard on the Treo. I like just about everything this Treo offers, only wishing it had a voice memo capability, a funny oversight on their part.

Nice work Handspring/PalmOne ... especially at Amazon.com's $250 (after rebate) price, it's a great upgrade from my Palm Vx. Things have come a long way in the last few years!

How would any of you compare the Treo 600's Palm capabilities to, say, the Tungsten T or any of the prior Palms (i.e. poorer screen resolution...)? I am always a little skeptical of a new piece of technology when they cram all of the capabilities into unit such as in the Treo 600.

The Treo unit is intriguing certainly when one spends as much time on the road as me.
