People still use Action Words?

Since my commute has gotten longer, I've started listening to old GTD podcasts. Concepts seem to last forever, but I am not sure about technology. In 5-year-old podcasts, there are references to Active Words. Since that time, the ability to 'pin' a directory or document to the task bar has appeared on Windows machines (I use this heavily for places I go to all the time). My question -- has this Windows capability obsoleted the need for Action Words?
