In my project I also have a project to get rid of habits.
Like quitting smoking, for example. one of those next action is
'don't buy cigarettes'
'don't go smoking'
There are things you shouldn't do.
How are you managing them?
When 'White-Knuckling' is ineffective and when reduction is possible:
1. Make it as difficult as possible . . . for smoking . . . used butts off the street without touching them
2. When reduction is prudently possible then have the Bad Habit [Vice] be as Difficult and Gradual as possible
Difficulty can help make the Substance or Behavior unworthy over-time through the Gradual Decreases
It 'all' about the Dopamine's and the Dopamine Withdrawals ?
'White-Knuckling' can make the Dopamine and the Dopamine Withdrawals return with greater 'vengeance' and have one spiral into 'Binging' super Elevating one's Dopamine for a super Dopamine crash . . . White-Knuckle . . . Rinse-&-Repeat ?
Behaviors are said to be more addictive than Substances:
Gambling is said to more more addictive than Heroin which is less addictive than Nicotine (none are being recommended) according to those who 'regrettably' wanted to try everything
Escapism as the root cause before?
Before falling for the garbage talk inviting Pinocchio-Syndrome an opportunity to set in, better and gooder to remember there is No Escape?
The
intrinsic chains of Vice [Adrenaline/Dopamine] are light until too
intrinsically heavy to discard ?
Life is preciously short . . . and all the more shorter without
GTD ?
The Only Way Out is Through
To err is human . . . to make the same mistake twice is stupid ?
Mind Like Water . . . all natural . . . without adding anything to be
Ready for Anything
As you see
GTD fit. . . .
Ps. Free-Will truly is a 'Double-Edged Sword' ?
