Integrating an Online Net Salary Calculator into a GTD Workflow

Hello everyone,

As I fine-tune my productivity system, I’m hunting for a net salary calculator tool that can plug into my GTD routine. Ideally, it should let me input gross income, expected deductions, taxes, and outputs the net take-home.

My goal is to reduce mental overhead: instead of doing manual calculations, I want to “capture” salary planning as part of my trusted system so it doesn’t stay in my head.

Has anyone integrated a salary / financial calculator into their tasks or reference system?

What tools or web services do you use, and how do you slot it into your GTD setup?

I would use Excel for that.
ChatGPT is great at helping with set up and formulas.

I have it as a monthly recurring task. But I’ll admit it’s not a habit yet.

I’ve been doing exactly that since 1992, using an Excel workbook, in one of the worksheets I built a replicate of my monthly salary payslip. Every line item, from gross to net, is verified — and I can tell you, I’ve caught errors over the years. The workbook also includes tracking tools, such as a rolling 12-month graph of gross and net income, as well as a salary predictor based on historical data.
