All project steps vs. Next Action Item

Is it recommended to list all of the project steps in a project space list and then only the next Action Item in a separate spot? I find myself being inefficient between these steps. And would love specific advice for how to list/track and go between the two on paper and in Trello. Thanks!

I would go with only next actions where feasible. Based on my experience, there is no way to list all the project steps for a project of any difficulty or significance.

@kkelker No. It is recommended to list as few project steps as is necessary to make you stop thinking about the project.
