'Are bank emails a waste of time? "giving example first direct bank.

or I could give an example TWELVE were basically, something I did in the past was e-mail a friend, forward him a message - does he think its worth I un subscribe from types of e-mails.

and shared with me with the example of something to do with marketing or information which I am no longer interested such as health website - yeah its probably not a big deal and should just do it.

right, then I forwarded him the example of my e-mail "first direct bank" - where get type messages according to a certain time say I don't know 1 a week - and like I will open the message, just "look" but not be able to remember the writing - and its like I never really do anything afterwards with the email.

What do you think users? is there really any reason - to accept or get type of online banking emails , or could be better completely without them?

@TimBourne

Which ever you prefer: Finance, Financial, Fiscal, etc.

Safer to go directly to a financial institutions website directly to be informed than opening up financial emails that could be fake ?

As you see GTD fit. . . .

But I know the e-mail comes from the official first direct bank e-mail, why would you write that?

or I'm not sure going to "financial institutions website directly" would be better, what you mean by this?

This is standard advice to avoid online scams. You can google “phishing” to learn more. There are many ways to make an email appear as if it comes from an official source when it actually doesn’t.

To your original question, I personally prefer to receive informational emails from the bank, newsletters, etc. But I also stay on top of my inbox and have some automatic grouping of email so I can quickly triage every morning. I enjoy the stream of information, but if you don’t actually review it and unsubscribe from unwanted sources, it quickly becomes untenable.

that I show you the example mail I receive from the FD e-mail.

I have no idea why you would suggest to myself this is not right first direct official with @gtdstudente ?

Yes - I must have read seen lots about scams phishing in past - and then forgotten about the information.

"if you don’t actually review it and unsubscribe from unwanted sources, it quickly becomes untenable." that's the situation I am in.1738343642519.png

I opt out of most emails from companies. If it is a bank they have notifications specifically for me on the app or website.

"have notifications specifically for me on the app or website." I think with first direct - they say option either - receive letters post or e-mails?

i changed to email

your suggesting its better I turn it off?

Do I agree there's no need " WE

If I can access statements from the web site, I don't need an email reminder. Like I said, I opt out of most emails. I actually have a personal policy that if I opt out or unsubscribe, and they continue to send emails, I will never do business with that company. Example of header with messages and notifications. 1738344197362.png
