Can goals have multiple purposes?

Hi,

I'm reading and listening to the audiotape and one that strikes me the most is setting goals. A goal must have a purpose and without a purpose, one cannot accomplish a goal. So, I'm writing all my goals as we speak, and I would like to know if one goal can have a list of purposes. I have a lot things going for myself and sometimes I forget why I am doing it.

For example,

Thai Kickboxing
Purpose:
I want to be able to learn how to defend myself.
I want to use my body's potential by fighting competitively.

Something like that...

It's my first post, let's celebrate. :)

You will always have several items on each higher-level document and they are all interconnected in various ways - myriad ways in fact, too many to write them all down. Just be happy if you manage to have each level complete (in a way that is for you personally complete).

Welcome aboard!

I find it helpful to make lists of how projects fit in to the higher-level purposes. Because we all have a lot more projects we could be doing than we have lifetimes to do them, it's become a very important part of how I decide which projects to activate and which ones to leave on the back-burner.

Cheers,
Roger
