In an attempt to maximize home efficiency, I'm in the market for a printer which combines capability to print clear, well-defined photos (new baby) as well as clear, well-defined text (for printing multi-page b&w office documents at home).

After researching, I've arrived at the Canon I900D.

Can anyone recommend any other good alternatives in price range up to $400?

Thanks in advance for your time.
