Did David Allen Die?

In John Lee Dumas' (@johnleedumas) podcast "Entrepeneur on Fire" (Dec 9, 2014), Robert Hirsch claimed that David Allen had recently died. For the claim, listen to http://goo.gl/9E7RZw @ 39:05. I have posted this question on Twitter but have received no answer from John Lee Dumas or Allen's Twitter handle @gtdguy.

I inquire because like many of those who have read Allen's books, I find this to be a tremendous loss to the gtd community.

I really do hope this is not the case.

Not likely, he just sent a tweet less than 2 hours ago. OTOH there are more than one person named David Allen, it's not like it's an uncommon name!
 
David is alive and well. He just had a birthday! As of this morning, we were scheduling an interview for him to do for GTD Connect members this coming Friday, January 2.

Robert Hirsch not only got the major fact wrong, he missed on the publication date for Getting Things Done. It was 2001, not 1992.
