Digital File Organizaion

Hi,

I discovered GTD when I was in college and it changed my life. I thank David for all his help, I don't know where I would be without it.

One thing that I wanted to share with everyone is my workflow for organizing and finding digital files. Like many of you, I spend many hours a day on the computer. I have financial documents, computer programs I've written, years of email, etc. For many years I would often try to get things done only to spend an hour just trying to locate some digital file I needed for work.

Several years ago I started implementing a system to organize my digital files. I found this method really changed my productivity and digital organization. I finally decided to blog about my method here:

I hope that by sharing my strategy you can at least take away something that will allow you to be more productive and efficient at collecting, processing, and searching your digital data.
