E-mails in delegated?

Hi,

Do you label all e-mails you have sent and for which you are waiting for an answer as Delegated? If you not on which criteria do you act?

Thanks for your answers.

I use @Waiting and I review that folder from time to time (typically twice a week). If it is urgent, I will @Waiting it and put it in my task list with a due date.

If there are time zone issues, etc, then I will put it @Waiting in tasks, and then move that task to my calendar and explicitly make an appointment for when I should follow up as well. I still review the @Waiting task at regular intervals, so the appointment is sometimes left there (if I forget to remove it) even after the task is complete. Haven't yet found a good solution for that specifically, as I have to go look at the task sometimes, then I realize it's complete, and then remove the entry.

Would be better if I had a way of removing the entry as soon as the task was complete, but my referencing is one way (Appt -> Task, from Task I can search for appointment, but it's not contained in it)

I only track the ones that either I know from the start are "mission critical" or that start to creep back into my head.

Using Netcentrix plug-in

I track all e-mails that require a response of some sort with the "send and delegate" function in the Outlook plug-in.
With that I really do not have to remember anything about it for the remainder of the week.
During the weekly review I check those items and send out a reminder if necessary.
That works very well for me.

Usually the @waiting-for category contains emails that you send, and much less emails that you receive. Using folders for this is a bit counter-intuitive and difficult (people know folders are for received mail). I found the Gmail tags work a little better.
