File Drawer Smoosher?

On pp. 100–101 of GTD, David A. suggests that you should get rid of hanging file folders and instead use "the movable metal plate" in the back of the file drawer.

What can I use if I have no such mechanism? A massive bookend? A spring-loaded something or other? Someone please post a link to such an item at Staples or something, if possible. Thanks.
 
My files are all in a really nice wooden file cabnet that was created for hanging files. I use bricks to hold the files up and keep them in place. Bricks are heavy enough that they don't slide around and they are also cheap.
