GTD Tiddly Wiki

Not sure what your concern is. The program is just a large html file that resides on your hard drive (or USB drive) so I don't see how it would be any more or less safe that any other files you have.

Great program, and yes ther is one catch: it can be addictive and lead to greater productivity.

thanks

thank God you replied! yeah it looks amazing! however say in "agenda" for example, all the content dissapears when I close the tiddly, at the moment i have to either close the whole thing (program) down and re-open it, or click twice on the "Agenda" caption whereby I have to wait and then the edit screen comes up with the content back in it.

I am about to take over the world and need this program!!!!!!
any advice!!

Have you saved it to your local drive? Have you press Done to save the content?
I am using it right now and does not have any problem.

Once you got it running, go to lifehacks tips and discussion on gtdtiddlywiki and see if it helps.

Click 'Force Save' to save Wiki

As was previously mentioned you need to save a local copy to use the wiki. Make sure you have cookies allowed for the wiki file. Try using the force save option on the left hand side to save it, not the file save menu command in your browser.

If it still gives you trouble redownload it using any browser other than IExplorer. I used FireFox to save Rustons TiddlyWiki locally and I got it w/ no problems.

Keynote

thanks Bernard but I just downloaded "keynote" the other day it is brilliant and serves my purpose a lot simpler, easier and better. Cheers

GTD tiddli wikki certainly LOOKS cool, but I personally haven't found it useful. When I can't work online with it and need to have local file only, then I would prefer native local application, which has much quicker input and comfort of use, like the abovementioned Keynote for Windows. If GTD tiddli wikki could allow me to work online with the same speed, that would be something.

There is a glitch when running GTDTW under IE when it is saved on your computer. I have my copy on a thumb drive, and the glitch doesn't happen there. The thumb drive is on my keychain, so my GTDTW file comes with me everywhere I go.
