If there's anyone on this board from Toronto, and they'd like to give another Torontonian a hand at implementing and discussing the GTD system, I'd be very interested in meeting with you. I'm not looking for a coach perse i.e. can't affor it, but I'd be willing to take someone our for a weekly coffee to disucss the issues/probles I'm having with the system and would be open to their suggestiosn and advice.

About me:
mid 30'ish, creative type with my hands in one too many projects. Did Covey for a while, but need a more comprehensive system to help me break down all my projects.

If interested, please send me a PM. Thanks

I'm not interested in the battle of words that is occurring re self-help, CBT, etc., in another thread, but your posts did pique my curiosity about why you first came to this forum since your posts imply that you are critical of David Allen's approach. You asked for a PM from someone in the Toronto area so you could meet weekly to discuss issues/problems you are having with the system.

Are you open to forum discussions of these issues? The GTD techniques have helped me be more efficient in accomplishing my job-related tasks. I'm always interested in how others have used it -- I do pick up an occasional tip that works for me.

Actually no, but thanks for the offer. When I wrote that, I was in the "last ditch attempt" to work the system. And then I heard him on a Podcast, and my feelings about this system were in place.

I am from Toronto and have been using GTD for over two years now. I'm a big fan and consider myself a student of the system. I also have a strong desire to teach and coach it. If you'd like to grab a coffee some time, please let me know. You're more than welcome to email me at clark.luby@zurich.com

Thanks,

Clark
