How to fix customized Advanced Find in Outlook?

When doing Weekly Review I'd like to see my current next actions for the project. Just to check where I stoped last time. I use CTRL+F to open Advanced Find in Outlook and then customize it: add Category field in the view and tell Outlook to check Tasks and Calendar area (by default it has no category view and checks only Tasks area). If I close the search window and open it again at the next weekly review I have to customize all the same once again as it doesn't save this customized search. Do you know if it possible to somehow save the customized view of the Advanced Search so not to customize from the scratch each time?

Regards,

Eugene.

Two ways, depending on which version of OL you are running.

With OL 2003, you can save that customized search as a Search Folder. Open advanced find, customize your search, run the search. Then File, Save as Search Folder. It will show up in your folder of Search Folders.

With OL 2000, which doesn't have Search Folders, you can save the search itself, and then create a shortcut to it. (This works in OL 2003 as well, if you prefer this over Search Folders.) Open advanced find, customize your search, run the search. Then File, Save Search. Choose a place to save it, and give it a name. It will save a file as type ".oss" which is a saved search. From there, you can put a shortcut to the search pretty much whereever you want: on the start button, on your desktop, in OL, etc. You can also assign a keyboard shortcut to the .oss file.

Hope that helps.
