How do you go about trying to implement some new daily habits? Do i put them on a list and make a next action to review the list? I like to check things off as I complete them. I am using Nirvana. Any tips would be appreciated.

@RandyNH

Beginning the new habit as small as possible and increasing as small as possible with an appropriate celebration after each habit engagement for dopamine reinforcement(s)

Sorry, Nirvana deficient

@RandyNH An implemented habit doesn't need to be on any list. Habits should be implemented one by one so there's no need to create a list. The best method to implement a habit is to combine it with an existing habit. For example, do five squats while your morning coffee brews, as suggested by BJ Fogg in his "Tiny Habits".

The problem I have is that I will do the habit then just completely forget about it. If I had something in my system as a reminder it would be helpful.

I would put "implement x daily habit" on my project list or someday/maybe if it is out a year. Then I would put "Do x" as an all day event on my calendar.

Once I get used to the habit I may remove them. You would review the project list weekly so they would all be there. Unless you are talking about a multi step habit you would do the same and make a check list until the habit becomes ingrained.

My experience is that it is fairly easy to implement a new habit if it fits well in my life, e.g., it meets a need, and can be realistically carried out on an ongoing basis. Adding small actions to an early morning routine can be very easy. Walking with my wife before breakfast is something I originally checked off but don’t anymore. How much exercise I get in a day shows up on my watch, and I do check casually throughout the day. Doing things regularly which you do not enjoy or don’t want to do can be very hard. Try different ideas until the habit sticks or you give up.
