iPhone App - Assistance and Advice!

Okay, help please! These are the features I am pretty sure I want in an iphone GTD app:

- ability to sync to pc or web
- repeating events
- projects
- reminders via SMS and/or email, but SMS would be preferred

I am currently on a trial period of Toodledo Pro on the web because many apps seem to sync to it. I have 4 more days to figure out which iphone app I want to use in conjunction with it. Currently I am playing with Toodledo, Todo and Pocket Informant Lite. I would like to try Things but it doesn't sync if you are not a Mac user, bummer.

Any thoughts on any of these from people who have used them? I am most interested in how people feel about Todo not having a specific project feature and also the reminder feature of all these apps. I am heavily dependent on reminders.

If you want to add a new app into the mix, feel free.

Toodledo, Pocket Informant, and (Appigo) Todo on the iPhone all sync to the web version of Toodledo. Toodledo is in the process of substantially upgrading their reminder service, which is already good. See the entry under "Help and News" for June 16th:

Pocket Informant still seems slow and unreliable to me, and I wouldn't use it. Appigo Todo now supports the task-subtask feature of Toodledo, which I find is a good fit for projects and next actions. However, I prefer the iPhone Toodledo app. Given your stated reliance on reminders, the Toodledo app will probably meet your needs best as Toodledo evolves. I don't know of any other on-line todo services that would meet your needs better than Toodledo. Remember the Milk is certainly not better for what you want.
 
Thanks. I am definitely going to continue using Toodledo as my web app. The issue becomes which iphone app I will use with it. It does seem to make sense to use Toodledo on the iphone as well because, theoretically, the integration will be better. I will most likely be using the iphone app more than the web app - but I do like to have web access for ease of entry when I am working on my pc. Thanks for the input.

You are not the first to express concerns about Pocket Informant, but so far I have not had any issues with it. It remains in my top three contenders.

Anyone else?
 
Toodledo

Hi,

I decided on Toodledo a couple of months ago and I'm happy with it. I didn't know about Action Lists until just now, but had a quick peak and it looks interesting. I like the idea of an inbox and the separation of next actions, someday maybes and waiting fors. And of course having both project and context views.

My concern would be how it maps to Toodledo. I set up Toodledo like this: contexts for contexts (!), goals for projects and folders for areas of focus. I looked for info on the mapping but didn't find any. Anybody know?
 
From our conversation on the Daze End forums I know you've already purchased Action Lists, but for the benefit of others:

The following mappings occur between Action Lists and Toodledo:

Action Lists context = Toodledo context
Action Lists projects = Toodledo folders
Action Lists tasks = Toodledo tasks
Action Lists tasks in the Next Action, Someday, Waiting state map to Toodledo tasks with statuses of Next Action, Someday, and Waiting statuses respectively.
Action Lists tasks in the Inbox map to Toodledo tasks with NO status (blank status).

If anyone has any other Action Lists specific questions, please feel free to ask on the Daze End forums (http://software.dazeend.org/forums). I don't always see questions posted here, but I do see and respond to all questions posted on the Daze End forums.
