Is anybody using the Palmpre withGTD?

I have been using the Palm Treos 700 with GTD Outlook AddOn. My device has worked very well but i am ready to go to the next generation. I have played with the Palm pre and like the feel of the device including the key board but I am really leary of giving up my existing GTD add on system for list /project management.

Palm Pre lacks task manager

Palm Pre does not presently have a built-in task manager. I asked and Palm said that they do plan to add one eventually.

I love my Pre. The keyboard is surprisingly fantastic.

You can run old Palm programs on the device.

As far as task management, there are no task management programs for the Pre, though developers will come out with some soon.

I use Toodledo, an online task manager, and access it via the Pre's web browser. Not ideal, but good enough and workable.

More apps should be out by the end of summer.

does the task management tool that you use work sufficiently well with your GTD lists?

Julie - I've found it to be very helpful. There are others on this forum that use it and if you do a search, you can see their comments.

As far as GTD, Toodledo has a page describing on it handles GTD tasks:
http://www.toodledo.com/info/gtd.php

The thing I like about the web interfaces is that they are platform independent. Plus, with Toodledo, I can download back-ups in case there ever is a problem with the site.

I can access their site via the web browser on the Pre, though I'm hoping for a Pre app once Palm gives the codes to more developers.

Alternatively, Evernote does have an app specifically for the Pre and some people here do use Evernote for GTD. I can't comment on it, but if you do a search on the forum, you will find comments.

Hope this helps.

Planning to try ListPro in Palm Classic Mode

I am in the process of setting up ListPro by Iliumsoft on the Palm Pre for my brother. I plan to buy the "Classic" software by MotionApps for $30 which allows you to run legacy Palm apps on the Pre. Then I will try to run the Palm version of ListPro. I hope it works! For myself I run ListPro on Windows Mobile 6.1.

Yes you can Plan to try ListPro in Palm Classic Mode. It will be great for you i have also tried it.

jtwgtdf,

Is there a way to smallen the fonts in the notes section of listpro? i've tried it but i find the fonts are too big in the notes section, i want a smaller font so i can read more info in a glance. :)

Pre Tasks App?

I'm going to bump this as I am also thinking of moving to the Palm Pre and am thinking through the GTD process on it.

I believe I have seen mention of a functional Tasks application on the Pre (see http://palmgoon.com/meet-the-tasks-app-on-the-pre/). I don't know if any Pre users could comment on it's suitability as a GTD list manager?

I am specifically wondering at what syncing options there are for this Tasks app?
