Is 'merging' [google] gmail and 'gdrive' digital references into one digital reference possible?

If so, how do/would you do it?

You can save emails from Gmail, but having had a quick look it appears you have to open each one, then click the three dots and select Download - it then saves it as an .eml file. You could then save it into Google Drive or wherever. Alternatively you could label emails or move them into folders within Gmail.
I'm experimenting with PARA so I'd save the email into the relevant section in my OneDrive.
