Leaving Palm for PPC; need suggestions

I've been using a Palm since... geez, I can't even remember. Shortly after they first came out. I've owned probably 10 different models by now. I've sold them professionally. I've freelanced doing software reviews for Ziff-Davis. I've registered probably over $1000 of software over the years.

And now, after owning a Palm LifeDrive since it came out, I can't get rid of this thing fast enough.

The reliability of the units have steadily gone downhill for a while now, and I'm looking forward to getting a PPC. Of course, I don't have the money for one yet, but when I do, I'm switching.

I was wondering if anyone here could give me a quick run-down of what's out there GTD-wise for the PPC, and what of those options they'd recommend. Or which they'd stay away from.

I've been using Natara's "Bonsai" for the Palm for ages now, and I love it, but now that I'm doing GTD, I don't like the lack of a tagging system for contexts. Right now, because my GTD system is primarily Windows-based, I only use my Palm for note taking. If there were a PPC GTD system that had a strong desktop element to it as well (I'm not a big Outlook fan), that'd be great.

Any suggestions?

While I do not use PPC, I will point you to a couple of places that may help:

1] Search the GTD forum ... PPC has been discussed before

2] Google search ... the following link may be a good place to start:

There are some further links within above that you may wish to follow. My search term was PPC GTD (straight from your post).

Also given your investment in time and $ have you considered a Palm smart phone?

Sounds like MyLifeOrganized would be perfect for you. The desktop application is great and syncs to PPC. It has the outliner like Bonsai, but with many additional features specific to projects and actions. Contexts are supported, and better yet, can include other contexts.

My favorite aspect of MLO for desktop is the fast interface. You can capture tasks and projects quickly and easily, navigate the outline and tasks details with keyboard shortcuts, and filter items in a thousand ways.

I have not used the PPC app because I am still using a Palm OS device. It's old, but seems like the older, the better, as long as it's still working. My spouse is still using a Handspring Visor Edge, which was very solidly made and looks brand new.
