Memos Notes on iPhone?

I just got an iPhone and just AWESOME! I'm using Omnifocus on my Mac and have the Omnifocus app for the iPhone, which works fairly well - but notes don't seem to show up. Are there any GTD iPhone users who have a solution for having Memos (checklists, Books to Read, etc.) on the iPhone?

Thanks!

Evernote would be great if it truly had a local copy of my data, but it doesn't- it needs to connect to the web. Zenbe seems like it will work for simple checklists. I will probably look at apps like SplashID, SplashShopper and eWallet at some point if a good note app doesn't appear.

Not sure about the iPhone client but on Windows and the Mac you have a local copy and you don't need to be connected to be able to use Evernote.

Notes are showing up in OmniFocus in my iPhone G3.

Have you upated the iPhone OmniFocus app? It is currently at 1.0.2.

Have you updated the Mac OmniFocus to the newest 1.1 Sneaky Peak Builds? That may help the notes to get synced.

Otherwise, post your problem in the OmniFocus forum. Folks there are great at troubleshooting.

Hope that helps!

Have you tried single action lists?

In OF - desktop version - there's an option to create a single action list (file menu). I use this to create lists of books to read, patterns to knit, anything that's a true list instead of a bunch of to-dos.

For example, my books to read list looks like this in OF:

Project - single action list - Books to read

Each book has the context library, and the library context is a sub of errands.

When I sync to the iPhone, everything's there, nice and neat.

Let me know if you need more info.

The customer says that the product is AWESOME despite the fact that it lacks the basic functionality needed by this user!

Thanks everyone!

First, a response to this:

The iPhone is an amazing device - GTD aside. The fact that with a bit of creativity you can also use it to implement GTD makes it even more functional, IMHO.

Jim and Moosie, thanks for the suggestions for Omnifocus - I'm new to it, and I will explore the forums and make sure I have the latest upgrades (which I thought I did). I hadn't discovered the single action list option either.

Yes, the desktop versions do have local copies, but the iPhone app does not. I was only speaking of the iPhone app.
