My first BlackBerry!

I just got my first BlackBerry. It's pretty slick. There are so many buttons/features/options. I don't know what to do first!

I know there are lots of posts on this site regarding BB and GTD. I am hoping some of you could chime in with a somewhat definitive guide of how to GTDify my BB. I want to start off on the right foot!

So...

... any hot tips?
... any links to websites for required reading?
... any software I need to download/buy?
... anything special I need to know about syncing data?

By the way, I AM behind an Exchange server.

Honestly? My advice would be to give the BlackBerry back to whoever gave it to you, and run away from them as fast as you can. The idea that you should instantly respond to ALL inputs at ALL times seems to me to be the complete antithesis of GTD.

If that's not feasible, I'd suggest finding the most aggressive filtering software you can. Make sure that anything that appears on your BlackBerry really is urgent enough to require an immediate response.

Blackberry

I have the BB 8700c and love it. Check out bbtips.com and bbforums.com for tips and tricks regarding the BB. As far as GTD goes, I bought "nextAction" from blackberrybooks.com via Handago and it works weel for my lists. I use a paper/BB system and I finally feel like I have a trusted system! Good luck
 
Nice, check out my blog for an extensive review of Next Action !, I think that BB really has it going on with Gtd, I'll be posting tuturial soon for project management on the BB and Gtd addin on the pc, should be pretty cool. Enjoy it ! :smile:

By the way which model did you get, I'm using a BB 7290 and loving it, just got my jabra bt150(an inexpensive bt headset and it great, I'm happy

It's the 8703e. I need to get a headset also. I'll check out the Jabra. Thanks!
