How would this forum help with what is written below...
I would say the main problem with my job is other agencies involved manipulate it for my team to do everything.
I.E.... A case comes in from a social worker for our help, we assess the issue and say it's anger-management we get to work...However, the social worker takes a back-seat and this means we also end up doing there job.
So I go from working on anger-management to setting up meetings, case reports and keeping the family together. When i try to do something about this my manager says just keep the case going and I'll have a word with there manager; Nothing happens.
The other scenario is The case hasn't got a social worker but they pass the case to us and I find out that the family have been pushed under the carpet and I or other members of the team are used to cover their backs.
Thus, as I call it The must look like we are doing something case....
However, we are in the middle of a reorganisation at the moment and the council has been stripped and built back-up...We now get cases which I call, keep my manager in a job cases.
However, the woman who is doing the reorganisation who came over from South Africa has decided certain services will remain and others wont, so we are changing and my manager is hoping we wont. So when we end up doing everything he is now letting it happen, hoping he keeps his job and doesn't have to go to the one he has been given and the powers that be will change their mind and not dismantle our team....
So we work harder for a cause which is worthless.
Thanks Christian Brownless....
