Notes from Outlook to android phone

Have recently moved from a blackberry to an android smartphone. Touchdown seems to work very well for tasks and contacts as I have Outlook Exchange. However since it is only exchange 2007 it doesn't sync notes. I don't use notes much for work so actually just want to tranfer to the android phone. Any suggestions for how to that.

Also looking to a separate notes app(appart from main notes list) with password protection.

Hi Tom,

You might want to check in the advanced settings what folders from Exchange you are syncing, the notes folder should be an option. I have been on Touchdown for several years, we were on Exchange 2007 (been on 2010 for several months now) and I am reasonably certain that I had notes syncing with 2007. Of course I could be hallucinating too...

I'm partial to Evernote due to the platform ubiquity. You have a requirement to password your notes so that may not be an option though you can encrypt notes in Evernote.

DejaOffice has a password protected notes function. It works just like old Palm Treo where you mark a note private, and then it will shows asterisks and a password when you click on the note. Once passworded, all notes show for a set time, like one minute or five minutes, and then they go back to passworded. DejaOffice also has full database encryption. That way even if you lose the phone, no one can open or read the notes database. Check it out.
