I have read the reviews on the Notetaker Wallet and I am prepared to make buy it. But first I want to ask what may be a stupid question. For those of you that have and use the wallet, do you keep it in your back pocket all day like a regular wallet? And how does that affect the pen and pad inside?

I don't have the Notetaker Wallet, but I do use something similar that holds a Fisher Bullet Pen and a small notepad. I try to keep it in my shirt pocket as much as I can, simply because I usually find myself wanting to use it either during a meeting or when I'm driving. If it's in my back pocket, it is almost impossible to get at it when I'm seatbelted into my car.
My problem with this is that I also have my PDA in my shirt pocket, so I'm trying to find some kind of Planner/Binder that will hold all my "stuff" that I like to have with me so it's easy to get at whatever I need when I need it. :grin:

I've had mine for years and no problems. Like any wallet it curves a little, but I haven't noticed any impact on the pen and only a little curve on the paper.
I highly recommend it. Not cheap, but I've gotten a lot of value from it.

Could you tell me the dimensions of the notepads in the Notetaker wallet? Also, are there any retail outlets that carry a notepad that fits it?

Funny...in another posting, GTD folks are going on and on about the SHAM behind self-help. And then I saw this posting, checked it out, and had a chuckle. Here's a quote from the "wallet" page:

No Wallets in the back pocket....ever!
Jason made a good point about keeping your wallet in your front pocket instead of in the back.
We should never keep our wallets in the back pocket.
It's the same principle as never using one insole in your shoes. If you do that you send your knees, then your hips, then your spine out of whack.
The same thing happens when you sit on your wallet

Writing surface: 2.25" x 3.75" (whole pad is 2.25" x 4.25"). I've seen similar sizes at a store in Boston, Bromfield Pen Shop. I got mine at DAC though.

Thanks. I've got a Fisher Wallet that came with a bullet pen and has some slots that would fit these pads perfectly. Otherwise, I'll probably break down and buy the whole package from DAC. I've been thinking about getting one of those Rotoring pens anyway.

Have you look at Daytimer (Pocket Binder/Planner), also FrankLin-Covey in the US seems to have something similar. FiloFax Pocket may also 'fit the bill'.

I use a small credit card wallet (made by Nautica). Two insdie pockets give me room to store half-a-dozen business cards, a couple of major credit cards, my medical insurance car, auto insurance card, and driver's license. I have a supply of freebie memo books from a vendor that a cut in half (otherwise they wold be a little too tall) and slips the covers of the memo book into the inside slots. Onthe outside, there is a small pocket that I use to collect credit card receipts or business cards from other people and then process those at the end of the day. The credit card wallet goes in the shirt pocket, money clip in the left-front pocket, and no wallet. (I, too, got tired of sitting on the thing about 5 years ago.)
