Otcome (project) thinking for every bit of my life?

I was reviewing my projects lists and found a few next actions that have no projects (outcomes) clearly defined. For example, I have @Call X: agree to meet during breakfast to have a chat. That X is a former boy friend of my sister. He's a very interesting person just to talk to. I have no idea of what is the outcome of that NA. It's not related to area of focus either as we meet not more then once per year or even two. So any ideas of what is that?

I'd say it's very much an area of focus. 'maintain relationships'
Some relationships don't need many actions to be maintained, but they still count.

re: ambiguous outcomes

Sounds like a "Look into" project to me. It's important to note the fact that outcomes change over time. Often one outcome "leads us into" a bunch of new projects and tasks we didn't anticipate would come as a result.

With actions like these, the basic outcome is "I've met with person X" or "I've had an engaging conversation with X" or something like that.

You then bring something to capture your thoughts after you meet or converse with this person. Then you collect all of the new things that come to your mind.

That meeting or conversation could turn into new projects and tasks, new ideas, new opportunities to look into, or it could just end with nothing new to add to your inventory.

Hope that helps.

Why are you so interested in talking with him? Is there a common interest? Is it to know better him because he could marry your sister a day? You know better than us why you would like to develop a relationship with him and this could become the outcome ( project? agenda? horizon of focus? ) I think it depends by the outcome

My sister is married so no way :) It's not an area of focus defenetly. It's just interest or maybe "look into" project as suggested. But really don't want to put any outcome or trigger into my project list about that one. I don't know why, just a gut feeling as DA says, and don't want to delete it from my action list either. What's that????

One will not always have a Project for every NA. I often create NAs for one-off things that I have to (or want to!) do ("Return Erin's phone call").

I think it's fine.
