Outlook 2003 to 2010 upgrade. Need reading resources for help.

Work just upgraded me from OL 2003 to 2010. Wow does it look different!

Any resources you've used for assisting with the significant learning curve here?

I got Outlook for Dummies from the library...it's almost 1000 pages! I already have purchased and long ago read and implemented ideas from GTD file for 2003. Do not see one available for 2010.

Thanks,

Hi TJ,

We have GTD Setup Guides in our Store for Outlook 2003 and 2007. We also have a free Supplement for Outlook 2010 on GTD Connect in the Document Library. You'll need to have access to Connect to download that though. It's in my queue to write a full Outlook 2010 guide this year. In the meantime, Outlook 2007 will be closest to what changed.

Yep, very very different

The change from 2003 to 2007 was massive (for all the Office suite except maybe Outlook and Project). I'd suggest that you spend 15 minutes making sure you can find all the things you usually use. That will give you your bearings..
If you used Rules (they are now called QuickSteps) . Categories are colour coded...

Let me know if there is anything else you need help with.

Book

Thanks...I ended up reading/scanning a good part of Outlook 2010 All-in-one for Dummies...almost 1000 pages..was helpful...took notes that will keep handy while learning to use.
