I sometimes wonder if we'll manage to come up with a tool in my lifetime that truly merges the strengths of paper with those of digital. There are all sorts of crossover options these days like iPads and Remarkables, but they seem to compromise on the strengths of both digital and paper, while sharing their weaknesses.
But what about in 10 years time? Or 20 years time? Surely something will eventually come out. Something with the size, shape, personality and tactile behaviour of pen and paper, with the searching, linking, sorting, automation, etc that comes with digital.
