Parking travel documents

I have some documents for my upcoming travels (e-tickets, hotel reservations etc.) sitting on my inbox. Wonder where to park these away from inbox. Thanks.

There are many good places. For international travel, I generally print out to a travel folder, and have electronic copies in a Dropbox folder aw well as the original emailing an archive folder.. I used to use Evernote instead of Dropbox, and that can work too.

Action Support or Evernote

If I want to have a paper copy (I've learned to travel with both digital and paper for boarding passes) I put them in my Action Support folder (which is one of my on the road folders in my bag), If digital, I save the document as PDF right into Evernote, where I can access it on my phone, laptop, or iPad.

I'm not sure whether you mean a paper inbox or email inbox. Either way, you can have (paper or electronic) folders labelled "Travel" or "Travel -- Los Angeles" or "Travel -- 2014-March-6" etc. Or physically put the paper documents into the backpack, purse, suitcase etc. you plan to use for travelling, or into a wallet or cloth bag you'll pack into your backpack, suitcase etc. when you're getting ready to leave. Or start carrying the documents for your next trip around with you in your wallet now, if they won't get too crumpled.

I don't travel much now but when I was traveling every week I'd have a physical folder for each trip and all the documents and papers related to that trip would be in that folder. A temporary project folder if you will.

Now I do the same thing plus make a scanned copy that is on any electronic devices I carry with me (phone, iPad, computer or kindle)

This is exactly what I do, too.

I do the temporary project folder too. When I come back, my passport, driving licence, travel insurance, etc goes into the next trip's temporary folder (or a folder named "Travel" if tehre are no upcoming trips)

Most of the time, the temporary project folder becomes a reference folder that contains (filtered) interesting fliers I picked up, business cards, notes, receipts, vouchers. Even a receipt or expired voucher can remind me of something I might want to do if I ever go back.

Tickler file for the day I'm going to pack

I keep these in my tickler file for the day I will be packing for the trip, at which time they go into the bag I'll be taking with me. I don't travel that much though; if you do, a dedicated travel folder might be useful.
