Scheduling work as it appears time success

Today had success with scheduling "doing work as it appears time". I decided to leave two 1 hour time-slots free for tomorrow. And got a call at 8pm from one of our suppliers. They had a VP coming and requested a meeting. I had free time to meet with them. Even without moving any other meetings :) Small success?
 
office hours

In my academic world, we call this "office hours." I always hope that little new work will "appear" during that time, but I never count on it!
