Hi!

As in a previous thread, I am looking for a Palm program called "Habitsuccess" which came out in 2003, but is no longer available. I would have bought it at that time, but strangely, you apparently needed an AOL email account to get a registration code... (perhaps that's the reason the company Bicyle soft doesn't exist any more...!)

However, it looked like a nice an useful program. I'd still be happy to pay for a version (e.g. via paypal). Anybody using it and willing to share the registration or has any idea where to get one? If anybody feels or knows that there is no legal way to this, then please advise me accordingly, then I will need to stop the search.

Many thanks in advance, Tillerich

use of habitsuccess

Hi!

It serves as a reminder for "good habits". Perhaps there are other progs as well like it; but it seems particularly user friendly (tells you with graphs and statistics how well you have done in repeating certain actions) and easy.

However, you are raising a good question: are there other or even better alternatives to "Habitsuccess"?

hmm, sounds like there's another program that I can't remember the name of that does a similar thing to Habitsuccess. Maybe others can help out. Of the ones I listed earlier, perhaps LifeBalance can show you the same feedback, but I only used it briefly a couple of years ago.

Not really answering the question...

When I read this post I got quite excited... this is the sort of program that I would like to have too...

Finding it was no problem, though thanks to those who posted links (though is posting a link to a google search a bit like saying RT*M?)

The original poster is not asking where to find the program, but asking where to register it... ( as an aside, anyone who actually followed any links to the original home page for the product would have had an "interesting" surprise) or where to get a registration code.

This is one of the problems with the "shareware" model, especially where the program is designed to lock you out after the trial period. What happens if the company producing the software is not available to issue new codes? And when the program is floating around the world in all the tucows mirrors and all the other shareware sites?

I downloaded the program, but I won't install it, because I don't want to fall in love with it and then have it turn off after 15 days and have no way of getting back in!!

Any answers to the *real* question?

It certainly does look like an interesting program, but like an above poster, I don't want to try it only to end up liking it but not being able to use it.

That said, I did a run through some sites of a "questionable nature" that deal in certain modified versions of palm software, but turned up nothing. And these sites usually have EVERYTHING, so the chances of finding a copy of it somewhere else, I'd say are slim, unfortunately.

It's a shame, really. I always pay for a program which finds a permanent place on my palm, but when a company disappears like that, they really leave any future customers "S.O.L."

kazaa

Hi!

Thanks for the replies so far!
Hmm, I am an old sceptic with kazaa, so, not very keen to check this out myself. However, if somebody else does, would you mind dropping me a mail with any results...? ;-)

Or any other suggestions?

Habit Success download

Just found this site by browsing. For the HabitSuccess programme, it still seems available for download at Handango www.handango.com. Just type in "Habitsuccess" in the search box.
