I've experiemented with many tools and programs in implementing GTD and each has had positives and negatives. Now, I think I've finally figured out the perfect software application for me to implement GTD and meet my many (crazy) criteria.
I need a program that handles RTF files***
Specifically, I needed a program that allows me to display multiple RTF files at once or move through opened files very quickly. A tabbed interface would be ideal. It should have a clean interface and run with minimal memory. It should be fast and respond snappily. It would be even better if, like an IDE, I could save a shortcut that points to groups of files so that I can jump into my project with minimum double-clicking.
What I need is a program that helps me utilize multiple RTF files (TXT-only or any other format will not do).
Maybe there is some VB I could write to do this in MS Write?
Any suggestions?
***RTF files are great because pretty much any word processor on the major computer platforms (Windows, MacOS, Linux) can open them. They look the same in all applications and you can even embed files in them. This is great for my Journal entries from my weekly review that contain embedded pictures, spreadsheets, etc.
