Time Warriors and fitness

This sounded interesting, but I was disappointed to find it accessible only by podcast. I can't currently access that at all (and I'm not sure I'd devote 21 minutes to it if I could).

It would be nice to identify links as video or audio only if that is the case.

The "Click here to download" link works for me; it's just a link to an MP3 file. Nothing specifically "podcat" required to access it.

21 minutes is too long for me, I listened to the first minute and didn't have the patience to sit through the rest. If the content were to be posted here or to be summarized here I would most likely read it though.

Fitness Podcast MP3

Its downloadable as an mp3 too. I listened in the car. Nothing revolutionary - I have found the stating goals in the present concept just as hard to believe as stating them in the future. The reality is that I cant run a 5 minute mile now any more than I can visualize myself doing it in the future. I am more inclined to the practical approach.

Make it up and make it happen!

I guess I don't know what a podcast is, LOL. I just meant that I have no way to access audio or video, i.e., no speakers, MP3 player etc. If I can't read it on the screen, it might as well not be there.

Jason, I managed to listen to it this morning on the way to work, and I'm looking forward to the future installations of your discussions with Mark.

Adequate speakers aren't that expensive. I would recommend you get some. I often listen to MP3s (or my favorite CDs) while working. Almost every computer at work now has speakers, as people seem to work better when they can listen to music. People are good at keeping the volume down.

If you have Windows Media Player (or Winamp, or similar), you can listen to MP3s. You wouldn't need to see the video on most interview-type downloads. Download the file to your computer, then listen to it while you are at/near the computer. If you can't listen to the entire file in one session, note the time elapsed when you stop and fast forward when you get back to it. Or if you will only be away for a brief period, put it on Pause.

The problem is I don't have an internet connection at home, so I use the library to websurf. I could probably use headphones there, but I don't want to bother with it. I'm looking into a getting a laptop and internet soon.

Thanks...

Jason, I listened in tonight and look forward to other podcasts on the subject.

Jason,

Thanks so much! Yeah, one of those interesting things - sit down and actually "talk" about what I do! One of my teachers told me that the reason people fear public speaking so much is that they have to actually hear themselves out loud... and what if what they have to say doesn't mean anything?!

So, that interview is but one in a series of opportunities to hear myself out loud. Hopefully, the next one will continue down the same path of making clear the obvious, and making doable...possible.

(And, everyone, thanks for the coaching on shortening the interview...we'll see what we can do!)
