About topic of trying make my smart phone usage as environmentally friendly as possible

  • 1 describe the details of my smart phone model.
th

Being the Huawei p30 smart phone , see attached image .

-2 things in background which personally felt like were problematic - giving example of 1) the lock screen - it takes a certain amount of time to activate the PIN - is there a better way then using a PIN? 2) the default lighting settings on my smart phone, right now I believe are on default or "automatic" mode, which I am not completely sure actually (how it actually works - where I see the screen display variates in lighting automatically in a way where I believe the front camera screen detects the "outside light" and then the - the phone with the internal software automatically adjusts the screen light so I.E. when it is dark makes screen lighter and when is sunny very light, makes screen use more light - is this the best settings on my phone or is there a way being able to figure exactly, do the maths see if there is a more effective way?

Or is it worth I give the details that I got this smart phone maybe say five months ago now and felt like it hasn't been best again?
or maybe I should post this on the Huawei phone fourm?

Or I could '

Your phone is very likely highly optimized to reduce battery usage, in other words to reduce energy consumption. Furthermore, your phone is most likely a small part of your overall energy usage. I think you should not be concerned about it. There are lots of other things you can do to reduce your environmental impact.

Yes, this phone has some issues, I've been using my Huawei P30 for five months now, and I’ve noticed a couple of issues. First, the lock screen takes a bit too long to activate the PIN. Is there a quicker way to unlock it? Second, I'm unsure about the automatic brightness setting. It adjusts based on the outside light, but is that really the best option for screen visibility? Would love any tips or suggestions!

Thank you,

Like what?

erm - but point came to mind, point of making this thread tho - 1) was try to figure if its possible figure exactly how much energy smart phone energy uses - e.g. I think only way I have an idea that this would be possible by is - finding a net results how much smart phone uses
then time/tally how much my - energy leave my phone on ... - actionable
2) try to find ways which I can more better customize the settings of my smart phone (such as 1 power and 2 quick knack or access display), with the type phone model I Have, and evaluate them? - because there seems like a lot of options for power/energy in smart phone settings
2 quick knack or access display) by this - I mean stuff like the PIN setting on my smart phone - Am I the only person on Earth who thinks way that my phone changed to suing type "facial PIN (when there's enough light for camera) or PIN on home which takes about 5 secs maybe ot activate each time (after a 10min screen out time) - am I logical in thinking I would be could be better not using a PIN to save the time this takes for example?
