Ultra Recall and GTD Template

What is the advantage over outlook?

The program seems very intriguing, but I'm wondering about whether it has any advantages over simply using Outlook as the trusted system. With outlook, you can fairly quickly and easily linke any file on the computer whatsoever with any action, contact or reference file. How does this improve over that, and how could this integrate with outlook, which I am already using pretty well with the GTD methodololgy? These questions aren't addressed in the UltraRecall help files.

UltraRecall works very nicely with Outlook using the GTD methodology of working on emails that need to be deferred. For example, if you have emails that can't be composed in the next two minutes, then you may want to drag these emails to an EMAIL folder that you create in UR. UR has an email form that allows you to see the text of the email and the header information such as the To, From and Subject fields. You can compose your response with UR and then click on the send button when your're done.

So now you can keep your Inbox clean in Outlook or Outlook Express by doing your initial scan by responding to the easy emails and Deferring the ones that require the proper context to your UR Email folder for follow-up at a later time. I would not consider myself an expert on the program as I am just beginning to use it myself. However, there is a fairly active forum on the Ultra Recall site.
