What could GTD and basketball have in common?)

Mike Williams has written a new post in GTD Perspectives, about practicing free throws in basketball, and how that applies to GTD practice. He uses a sports analogy, but also invites you to think of anything that might fit for you, where you are training your nervous system to do a supportive behavior regardless of the outer conditions.

Jodie,

Agree 100%. I was talking with another GTD practitioner today. We mused how the act of showing up and doing 15 min of defining work Practice is similar to going to the driving range and hitting a 100 gulf balls. Same for the doing defined work Practice. These practice sessions are some of the key behaviors that help people feel okay with not continually checking their phone for emails (the "always on" condition). Pretty cool when you think about it.

Cheers!

I'm in my continuous search to find suggestions to help people make GTD their habits. Thanks for the analogy :)
