Here's a great "green" idea for reusing those tear-off calendar pages (approximately 5 1/4" x 4 5/16" in size). Instead of trashing or recycling pages after you tear them off, cut the torn-off pages width-wise and use the scraps of paper to capture ideas and action items. Their size makes them ideal for single-idea capturing. I keep a stack on my desk at home and at work.
