IF SO ID LOVE TO SHARE SYSTEMS
I AM FAMILIAR WITH THE METHODOLOGY
NOT CARRIED OUT A SATISFACTORY WEEKLY REVIEW, AS YET
THIS IS DUE TO A LARGE PROJECT WHICH IS CLOGGING UP
OR SHOULD I SAY MY INABILITY TO FILTER IT INTO THE SYSTEM
HAS CAUSED ME TO SEEK ANSWERS ...

Not based near you (I'm in denmark) but saw you have put off the weekly review due to a big project..
A 2 hour review of a 40 hour week = 5% of your work week..

I think everyone that has ever done a full review will say its worth more than the time spend, even if no its 5%!
Try to fit it in your schedule you won't regret it.. :D

I live in Cambridge, UK. Weekly review is my weakness too. I guess I get overwhelmed just by thinking of how much I've to think about when I do the weekly review.

Any suggestions/tips from Senior GTDers?

Thank you for your input ssksogaard.
I will attempt a full weekly review of what I have so far!
Previous attempts have found me tapering off into non-review type actions
So determined to this time around
- I shall comment how I got on.

Part of my problem is motivation to face it.
I wonder if you’re up for being my wkly review “gym partner” ?

I aim to stick to 10 mins per section (hardly enough time)
Getting a feel for the process > turning it into a habit.

If your available anytime after 15:00hrs this Sunday 11th Nov?

Please get in touch

Many thanks all

Hey, I am based in London. If you ever come down here we can meet and share some ideas on GTD if you are up for it.

The way I do the weekly review at the moment is not on weekly basis but on demand. Like doing the laundry. When I have a big enough batch of clothes to wash, I wash them together. I do not do it too early because the washing machine will be empty and it is waste of resources, but if I wait for too long it will be a mess - no clothes to wear and will not fit them all in the machine for one washing. I treat clearing my inbasket and reorganizing my projects the same way. When I feel I have collected a decent amount to organize I simply put next actions like "Clear my inbox", "Update my projects folder", "Update my next actions folder" etc. Then I treat them like normal actions that I do whenever I am have the time. This seems to work for me better.

I hope it helps.

Stan.

@Carlos Just saw your message. I have been out for most of the weekend and I won't be doing the Weekly Review now. Maybe I will just scan through all the contexts to get current and that's about it.

@Stan It's a good idea for a meetup if I'm around LDN area.
