Can anyone offer any tricks-&-techniques to decrease 'tension(s)' and increase Mind Like Water regarding @Waiting For contexts?

Perhaps also in terms of:

Decreased being 'dangled', 'limboed', suspended, etc. by all-&-any @Waiting For

Being in a state of increased assurances and increased detachment(s)

Thank you very much

I don't really know any tricks, other than I can't do much about them other than wait, nudge and remind... Maybe some kind of stoic approach..?

It's advice I give myself and forget when things get busy: always include the date an item was added to the list. It's a good reminder of when follow-up is needed. Similarly, if you've agreed to receive something by a given date, track it with the same importance as a deadline you've given yourself.

To keep Waiting For items off my mind, I review the list with the same rigor as my next actions, making note of anything must be followed up on during the day.

When things get *really* busy, I'll put anything timely and critical, including Waiting Fors, on my calendar. This isn't my default, but it can be helpful with items that require a turnaround in hours instead of days.

Thank you for your good replies

Have humbly developed some thoughts since posting for seemingly worthy consideration(s)

Since Mind Like Water [Peace-of-Soul] is a major reason for being a GTD practitioner, the following has come to mind since the post that seemingly also includes Roman Stoicism for Impenetrable Tranquility and as an addition incentive~motivation for the Weekly Review

1. Knowing Waiting For . . . will be given appropriate attention during the Weekly Review as thus can be 'trustly' shelved until then

2. If the Waiting For . . . is seemingly unresponsive to the circumstance(s) gravity:

With as much appropriate consideration as possible . . . then an additional non self-sabotaging Next Action might need to be calmly mustered while perhaps asking "the Waiting For . . ." engagement for their feedback on the Next Action as a professional courtesy and for further appropriate engagement in regards to their misplaced kindness

Feedback most appreciated
