RSS will help in the future
RSS is worth mentioning in this forum, as greater use of RSS should lead to LESS use of email. And that would be a GOOD THING. Many emailed newsletters disappear into the ether, for example, as vigorous spam rejection systems often reject newsletters that customers actually signed up for.
RSS will help to reduce this problem as the consumer will be able to just sign up for a 'feed' of a newsletter and there is no email involvement.
