Email folders

Just read the GTD ipad guide and wondering how to go about crediting the suggested folders (@action, @waiting) if I have several email accounts that I check with the universal inbox. It seems that I need to create these folders within each email account but that seems like that will get so cumbersome. Is there a way to create new folders just in the universal inbox or some other central location? If not, is there perhaps a better app than mail that I can do this or something similar?

Apple Reminders

Definitely do not use email to store your next action lists. Use the Reminders app that comes standard with the iPad.

As far as I know, if you are managing multiple inboxes in Mail, you will need to create those folders separately under each account. I get around this by forwarding emails from my other accounts to one account. That way all of my mail is managed with one set of folders. But then you lose the ability to have your reply to be from different accounts. At least that's how I understand it.

You can manually set the "From" account for each mail in Mac Mail. Also note that "From" and "Reply to" can be different. However, I recommend one main account if possible, or a main personal and a main work. I have four active mail accounts, but only one account that is 99% of my email. Very few people are paid to be email experts, and I'm not one of them.
