Google Calendar to inbox?

is there a way to move a tickler from Google Calendar to my inbox? I tried with drag & drop or copy & paste without success.
 
Two suggestions:
1. Make the tickler appointment a meeting and invite yourself? Not sure if this works
2. Instead of using the calendar for ticklers, how about scheduling emails to yourself? This way, you will receive the email whenever you choose.
