Wow!!! The attention to detail is amazing, and it must be a pleasure to work at such a beautiful and efficient desk. Great job!

Are you taking orders? ;-)

I agree

Wow, is right! I'm interested in knowing how many hours were spent on this project. I'm hoping this type of work is a passion for him and that he loved every minute of it...and that it didn't interfere with the rest of life.

Just...WOW!

The next stage?

GTDer Craig shared his story about creating the ultimate GTD desk & environment for himself, with David. We posted his story and David's response to Up Close. It's well worth checking out his slide show.

Story & pictures--> https://secure.davidco.com/connect/upclose.php?id=160#entry

Craig is also a GTD Connect member, so hopefully he'll hop into the forums here and answer any questions you have!

So is this the next stage of productivity porn that David talks about - yesterday the list manager, today the desk, tomorrow the world!

Command Center

Wow! That is truly a command center.

Any suggestions for a traveling command center?

Wonderful!

This looks like a great and well conceptualized workspace.
I'm wondering what kind of chair you use? And is the desk/bench something that you designed and/or made for yourself -- woodworker as well as musician and GTDer?
Thanks for sharing, and inspiring!

Unknown hours... And, yes, it was a passion, loving (most) of the minutes along the way. I'm just hoping I get a decent return on the 10 months of my life that it took to pull it all together just so...

No chair... it's a stand-up desk. Designed by myself (along the way, for the most part) to maximize my workflow and organization...

Thanks for the kind words!
