How I Used My Paper-Based System To Keep Notes

The logging system for projects and next actions in Things 3 is actually pretty great for this if you use it for this. You get a chronological list of next actions and meeting agendas for every project. I usually flow ticklers and other project support through there as well, sometimes on the way to somewhere else, so it’s fairly complete.

Interesting perspective, Dave. I’ve gone back and forth between paper and digital tools over the years, and there’s still something about writing things down on paper that helps me think more clearly. Digital systems are great for organization and search, but paper can sometimes make note-taking feel more focused and intentional. Thanks for sharing your experience.
