Multimedia projector

I know this falls outside the realm of getting organized, but i thought someone among this group may have some knowledge about multimedia projectors.

I have to give some powerpoint talks and need to buy a multimedia projector. I stopped in Staples only to discover that their cheapeast ran $1300.............my jaw is still open.

Can anyone suggest a good quality projector for half that amount.....
do they exist....

$1300 is a reasonable price. You may be able to get them for under a $1000 (barely!), but that won't be worth anything.

Get this month's copy of PC Magazine. They do a review of the new light, portable projectors.

You better be prepared to spend betwenn $1200 and $1400. These are not cheap.
