Hi,
I am looking for input as to what other people use as their settings for scanning documents and pics. And also whether people set the text as editable or not editable (i.e. just one page as a single image).
Like some other people here I am looking to start routinely scanning in most/all of my paper documents (including handwritten notes) as reference material and keeping that as accessible while I am traveling (which my new job entails a lot of).
I am looking for the optimum balance of quality vs application vs storage capacity (i.e. as small a file size as possible).
It's not super important to me that I can text search the files for words, but that would be nice. But over time I am probably looking at scanning in between 10,000 - 50,000 pages of paper.
A scanner primer 101 from those who have and continue to do this would be much appreciated.
