Software

I'm looking for a user friendly software that would:

1. Allow me to input tasks and subtasks and to keep track of them.

2. Perhaps to be able to link a task with a particular file or calendar item, so that it could be called up when needed.

3. To search calendar using names or places.

4. To remind me audibly and visually when I have a task due or overdue, an imminent appointment, etc.

5. To move to do's undone from today's page to tomorrow's.

6. And in general to ease the following of the procedures in GTD. Things I haven't though of that would be helpful to improving my ability to organize myself.

7. In other words, software for people with ADD.

Try Microsoft Outlook with David Allen Company's implementation tips.

Try Microsoft Outlook with David Allen Company's implementation tips. It is the most straightforward and compatible choice in the Microsoft Windows environment.

One of your requirements (5.) is not compatible with the canonical GTD approach. GTD Next Action lists were invented to avoid "moving to do's undone from today's page to tomorrow's."

Nozbe?

Dziękuję bardzo za pomoc.

(Thank you very much for your help.)

Proszę bardzo! (You're welcome!)

There's also a Polish GTD-inspired web application Nozbe.

Outlook 2003, One Note 2007

Testeq:

I found these two programs on my hard drive. Can they work together in GTD?

I looked at Nozbe. It looks inviting and user friendly. Right now I'm focused on using the software I got so that I can try out GTD.

I don't know if Outlook 2003 is compatible with One Note 2007 but you can use Outlook 2003 for e-mail, calendar and GTD lists while One Note 2007 for general purpose and project related reference database.
