Can we do sorting by due date as a default in the list next action? It is uncomfortable to push the button every time

Are you asking about the behavior of some particular 3rd-party app used for next action lists? Sorting defaults are app-specific.

In GTD there is no guideline how you should sort your lists. I use random FIFO order and Mark Foster's Simple Scanning (as advised by @Gardener) for selecting Next Actions.

@TesTeq can you point me towards a resource re Mark Foster / Simple Scanning? My Forum search turned negative (?)... Thank you!

Mark Foster is not a GTDer. He is an advocate of one big todo list and has developed and tested many methods of selecting the next todo to act on. So his approach can be adopted to select Next Actions from GTD @context lists. http://markforster.squarespace.com/blog/2017/12/2/simplescanning- the-rules.html

Not GTD? Blasphemy just days after the Summit! ;):p:rolleyes::)

Joking aside: Thank you. I think there needs to be a hyphen added into the link as follows:
