Suggested forum function - @Read and Review

Hi

Don't know whether you can (or how you'd do it without subscribing), but is there a way I can mark a post for later reading actually on the site?

My ideal outcome would be, on the MyConnect Page, a section call My Reading List, split into 2 sections - the first would be Threads to Read, the second would be Threads I'm subscribed to.

My reasoning - I've just dipped in to the forums and seen a couple of threads I want to sit down and read through, but I don't have time now. I can't see a way to mark them for later reading, or somewhere I can see a list of those I want to work my way through.

'Subscribing' seems a more permenant way of monitoring threads - I'm just looking for the equivalent of @Read and Review functionality...

Have I missed it, or is it something in the plan for future development?

cheers

Nick

Nick, there is no way to do this that I have found. You can track threads by URL... this one is http://www.davidco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8869.

What I've been doing lately with good success is tracking new threads with RSS, and then each time looking for new posts using the button above (http://www.davidco.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew).

Connect "favorites", or InstaPaper

Would be great to have our own forum favorites list.
But, until then, try http://www.instapaper.com/
Wonderful, free browser add-in. One click and a url is added to your reading list (and synced to the iPhone).
Very handy.

Using favorites or bookmarks

Hi,
I simply have a folder or category in my bookmark list (firefox; favorites in internet explorer) called "High interest reading" and I simply bookmark the thread's page.
