Thread for tracking forum enhancement requests and bug reports

We're waiting to see if you post enough so we don't need to moderate you. But seriously...

As Homer Simpson would say, "Doh!" I will review settings and fix this so that you can post unmoderated, because you have obviously earned that right.

Just to let you know that nobody except for you and me sees my posts:
"This message is awaiting moderator approval, and is invisible to normal visitors."

There seem to be some missing comments. For example, in the thread entitled "Why am i still in the same reacting to (vs. attacking) what needs to get done?" in the "Discuss the GTD Methodology" forum, the last post showing is mine. I know there were some posts after my last one, but they seem to have been lost in the migration. I addition, there was a thread by someone asking about how many items people tended to process per day that also seems to have gone missing.
I also ran into this issue. I posted two replies in different threads that disappeared last week, including someone else's reply to one of them. I even found the cached permalink of one of these posts, which came up as "not found" when I revisited it.

Is there something about the new forum software that makes spamming easier to do or harder to delete? I don't remember this much spam in the past. I would suggest a captcha, but I'm not sure if it's automated spam anyway.

New forum software. Seems when any company switches it make for a whole bunch of spam until they can get it locked down. I am sure John and Co will. It takes time to write the proper algorithm

I realize that the un-paid side of the forums are probably not funded for minute-by-minute moderation activity, but unfortunately I think that that may be necessary until the spam issue is locked down.

Does the new forum software support the "new posters require moderation until marked otherwise" feature that some forums have? (I don't actually know what it's called.) If so, that could be an option to keep the forums clear without minute-by-minute moderator activity--mark the preexisting posters as not needing moderation, and new accounts wait a day or two for their posts to flow through.

Edited to add: I'm concerned that perhaps there is no one who is authorized to delete posts and ban accounts? The primary spammer has been at it for several hours, some of them I believe business hours. I'd have expected him to be banned by now.

Again, I realize that I'm not paying anything for my use of the forum, so I have no grounds to gripe. But this seems likely to damage the reputation of the site as a whole.

The porn seems to be spawning itself, I suspect there is a hack in the forum code that is allowing a back door to posting. Those can be really hard to fix from personal experience.

Yikes. This is making me nervous; I hesitate to even visit the forum at this point. I'm going to make a note to check in in a week to see if the porn is gone.

Hi All, in the last hour we've added more anti-spam measures, and deleted the spam.

Over the years we've been diligent about keeping this forum free of spam, and we plan to continue that.

If you see spam, just click the Report option below the post, and we'll take care of it. Thanks for your help in keeping the forums free of spam.

I was noticing that there is a way to see all of your own posts. Is there any way to download them? I wrote some things a long time ago that I'd like to find again and save for future reference.

Like the color changes on the icons on the new conversations. the 2 colors really helps me find the forums where there are new responses.

I can no longer sign into the Getting Things Done forum on Tapatalk. I've reported it to the app developer, but the error message also suggested I report it to the admin for this forum. FYI.
